Acceptable Use Policy

EmailKing helps you find the business contact addresses that websites publish and check whether those addresses are likely to accept mail. This policy explains what you may not do with it. It forms part of our Terms of Service. If you break it, we may suspend or close your account without a refund.

1. You are responsible for how you use the data

You are solely responsible for making sure that collecting, storing and contacting the addresses you obtain complies with every law that applies to you and to the people you contact. That includes anti-spam laws (such as CAN-SPAM in the US, CASL in Canada, PECR in the UK and the ePrivacy rules of EU member states) and data protection laws (such as the GDPR and UK GDPR). Some countries require prior consent before you send marketing email, even to business addresses. Check before you send.

2. Prohibited uses

  • Sending spam: unsolicited bulk email that is irrelevant to the recipient's role, deceptive, or sent without a working way to opt out.
  • Selling, renting, publishing or otherwise distributing lists of addresses obtained through EmailKing.
  • Collecting addresses from sites whose terms or robots.txt prohibit it, or from pages behind a login or other access control.
  • Phishing, fraud, impersonation, harassment, stalking, or contacting people for any unlawful purpose.
  • Collecting or using personal data in countries or for purposes where it is unlawful for you to do so.
  • Circumventing plan limits or rate limits, including by creating multiple accounts, sharing accounts, or automating access other than through features we provide.
  • Attacking, overloading, reverse-engineering or probing the security of EmailKing or the websites you look up.

3. Good practice we expect

  • Only contact people when your message is relevant to their business role.
  • Identify yourself honestly, include a working opt-out, and honor opt-outs promptly.
  • Keep a suppression list and never re-contact people who asked you to stop.
  • Delete data you no longer need.

4. Requests from people whose address was found

If your email address appears in EmailKing results and you want us to stop showing it, or you want to report misuse, email [email protected]. We will act on valid requests promptly.

5. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations, limit features, suspend or terminate accounts, and cooperate with lawful requests from authorities. Payments for accounts terminated for violating this policy are not refunded.
